African American Heritage Festival Hosts Poetry Showcase “Hip-Hop and Harmony”
The annual African American Heritage Festival held a poetry showcase based around the theme of “Unity and Rap.” The “Hip-Hop Harmony” event was held on Feb. 28 at the WOSU The two-hour-long show featured lyrical performances by students at Ohio State as they sang, rapped, and expressed original spoken word pieces.
Campus rattled by Turning Point USA Event
Students, faculty, and local activists gathered outside of the Ohio Union Wednesday to protest an event hosted by Turning Point USA. The event featured a Q&A session with organization founder Charlie Kirk and political commentator Candace Owens. The campus chapter and the university received backlash for hosting an organization with conservative viewpoints on education, the economy, race, and the LGBTQ+ community.
